Our "new" couch!

I'm not sure whether this qualifies as news, but we found a couch and carried it in through the gate two days ago. And it only took 14 hours of thrift storing and writing/calling 7 different Craigslist postings to find it! Plus two trips to Vancouver - one to see it and one with a rented van to bring it home. Good thing we're not missing any work to do this.

On the bright side, we apparently surpassed our friend Tim's expectations - he was doubtful that we would find a clean, attractive couch within the week in our (admittedly low) price range. But we did! 6 months old, clean as can be and nice-smelling, from a pleasant, young church-going couple. (Oren asked if they smoked or had cats. The guy responded no, but he did go to church twice a week.) Good thing, as that was our next question.

So now we have a living room; as you can see, we are quite happy about it.
